Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Edgar Cordescu started the match with the kick off. Valer Răducanu kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Rareș Podgoreanu acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 4th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Florin Grozăvescu. 1-0 became the score in the 12th minute when Edgar Cordescu elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Rareș Podgoreanu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paul Dedu in the 18th minute. A collision led to Corsorul getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Ionică Homeag hit a great ball. Valer Răducanu hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgar Cordescu in the 38th minute of play forced Stegarii's goalkeeper Rareș Podgoreanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Corsorul's Edgar Cordescu in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Stegarii's goalie prevented a goal. Rareș Podgoreanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgar Cordescu in the 43rd minute of play. After 44 played minutes Corsorul got a freekick which was hit by Ionică Homeag. After 47 played minutes Corsorul got a freekick which was hit by Paul Dedu. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Liviu Ungur to strike the kick off in the second half. Paul Dedu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rareș Podgoreanu having to interfere. Rareș Podgoreanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgar Cordescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 55th match minute, Corsorul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paul Dedu to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Paul Dedu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Corsorul's supporters rose to their feet, but Paul Dedu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rareș Podgoreanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paul Dedu in the 62nd minute of play forced Stegarii's goalkeeper Rareș Podgoreanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edgar Cordescu in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rareș Podgoreanu saved Stegarii from getting behind. Rareș Podgoreanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgar Cordescu in the 68th minute of the match. Rareș Podgoreanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ionică Homeag, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Grigore Coșeriu might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Augustin Sasu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Grigore Coșeriu ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Liviu Ungur in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Augustin Sasu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rareș Podgoreanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgar Cordescu in the 88th minute of the match. Edgar Cordescu took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rareș Podgoreanu. Rareș Podgoreanu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Stegarii's Rareș Podgoreanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paul Dedu in the 92nd minute of play. Corsorul's Edgar Cordescu got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rareș Podgoreanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paul Dedu in the 96th minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the Corsorul players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
