Calistrat Stanciu took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Teodor Mușătescu. Steaua Dărmănești's Leontin Bîndean shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 27th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Teodor Mușătescu but with some difficulty. 32 minutes into the match, Dacia Chișinău's Călin Barbu broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Teodor Mușătescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Calistrat Stanciu in the 36th minute. After a rather tough play, Dacia Chișinău's Victor Hurezan got a free kick in the 41st minute. Ferdinand Muntian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laurențiu Aaxiniei, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Nicu Stăniloaie received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Teodor Mușătescu came out and tried to block the shot, but Nicu Stăniloaie slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 46th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Teodor Anghel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65th minute Calistrat Stanciu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodor Mușătescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Nicu Stăniloaie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 72nd minute Victor Hurezan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferdinand Muntian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teodor Mușătescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Calistrat Stanciu, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Eugen Potopea hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Ferdinand Muntian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Hurezan in the 84th minute of play. The Steaua Dărmănești fans' excitement grew in the 90th match minute when Steaua Dărmănești's Calistrat Stanciu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal.
