Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Șerban Sărăroiu started the match with the kick off. Edgar Cordescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Sever Brădescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ionică Homeag kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Lucian Jucan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augustin Sasu having to interfere. 14 minutes into the game, Chivas's Lucian Jucan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Augustin Sasu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. When Paul Dedu came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Corsorul fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paul Dedu couldn't finish the play. After having played for 24 minutes, Lucian Jucan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chivas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucian Jucan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Paul Dedu took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sever Brădescu. Sever Brădescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 36 minutes into the match, Chivas's goal looked a bit too open when Paul Dedu came free, but Sever Brădescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paul Dedu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Sever Brădescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edgar Cordescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 46th match minute, Chivas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dragoş Cudalb to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edgar Cordescu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Edgar Cordescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sever Brădescu came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Corsorul's Paul Dedu. But to his dismay, Paul Dedu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Edgar Cordescu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sever Brădescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. A collision led to Corsorul getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Romeo Barbălată hit a great ball. In the 67th minute, Vasile Ortacu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Albert Gârniceanu's late challenge caught a Corsorul's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Albert Gârniceanu helped the player get up and apologised. 74 minutes into the game, one of Chivas:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 85th minute, Edgar Cordescu made a precise shot to the right of Sever Brădescu. Chivas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. In the 93rd minute, Romeo Barbălată hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 94th minute of the match Florin Boroș shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Augustin Sasu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Sever Brădescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgar Cordescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Paul Dedu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sever Brădescu having to interfere. Corsorul played a much better game than Chivas and deserved their victory. The Chivas players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
