Virgil Codrescu might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edgar Miniș. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Virgil Codrescu ran back to his position shaking his head. Rafinăria Dărmănești's Edgar Miniș played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sabin Tănase in the 14th minute of play. Maxim Herlea kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. 26 minutes into the match, Gauriciu FC's goal looked a bit too open when Isac Popa came free, but Laurențiu Stoican reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
