Spectators: 7492 (Terracing: 5620, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 149) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Șerban Mușat took the kick off in the first half of the match. 3 minutes into the match, Călin Stoleru notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Steaua Dărmănești's Ferdinand Muntian. Ferdinand Muntian was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 8th minute Călin Stoleru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferdinand Muntian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 10th minute, Șerban Mușat ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ferdinand Muntian was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 13 minutes into the match, Baba's goal looked a bit too open when Nicu Stăniloaie came free, but Codruț Roșeanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Nicu Stăniloaie managed to get in a good position for a shot. Steaua Dărmănești's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicu Stăniloaie was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Codruț Roșeanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Steaua Dărmănești's George Gogea got a free kick in the 16th minute. Steaua Dărmănești's Ferdinand Muntian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Șerban Mușat in the 18th minute of play. 19 minutes into the game, Călin Stoleru cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Ferdinand Muntian was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mihăiţă Avram kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. In the 30th minute Călin Stoleru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferdinand Muntian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ferdinand Muntian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivan Daimacă in the 32nd minute of play. If Nicu Stăniloaie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ferdinand Muntian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Călin Stoleru in the 37th minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Steaua Dărmănești's goal looked a bit too open when Călin Stoleru came free, but Ferdinand Muntian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ivan Daimacă took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ferdinand Muntian. Ferdinand Muntian dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. After the first half Baba were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

57 minutes into the match, Steaua Dărmănești's goal looked a bit too open when Șerban Mușat came free, but Ferdinand Muntian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Baba getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Petre Şimandan hit a great ball. Șerban Mușat succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-6 in the 66th playminute. In the 74th minute, Baba's Șerban Mușat ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ferdinand Muntian. Ferdinand Muntian yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-7. Ferdinand Muntian didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ivan Daimacă went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-8 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Steaua Dărmănești's Nicu Stăniloaie got a free kick in the 80th minute. Nicu Stăniloaie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ferdinand Muntian made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ivan Daimacă in the 88th minute. After 89 minutes of play, Baba's Ivan Daimacă made it 0-9 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ferdinand Muntian was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nicu Stăniloaie charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nicu Stăniloaie the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Petre Şimandan was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 94th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 98th minute Nichifor Răduleț shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferdinand Muntian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ferdinand Muntian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Șerban Mușat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
