Manole Epure's late challenge caught a Chivas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Manole Epure helped the player get up and apologised. Manole Epure kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vintilă Grădinaru made a kick off. Lucian Jucan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Manole Epure could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Sever Brădescu made a huge save. Sever Brădescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vintilă Grădinaru, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. 64 minutes into the game, Chivas's Șerban Sărăroiu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. In the 84th minute Chivas were awarded a corner. Florin Boroș went to the cornerflag to take it. When Manole Epure was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 84 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Ultramax1000's Manole Epure got a free kick in the 85th minute. Șerban Sărăroiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lucian Jucan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Răzvan Vaştag having to make a save. In the 93rd minute, Șerban Sărăroiu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vintilă Grădinaru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chivas's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
