Spectators: 7167 (Terracing: 5617, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 50) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Grigore Coșeriu got free with Laurențiu Stoican in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 14 minutes into the game, Liviu Ungur cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Laurențiu Stoican was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Moise Frâncu charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Moise Frâncu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Gauriciu FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 25th minute. Penalty! In the 32nd minute, Virgil Codrescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Virgil Codrescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rareș Podgoreanu having to interfere. In the 44th minute of the match Stegarii got a corner. Gauriciu FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Iustinian Poplăcan ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Liviu Ungur managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 46th minute, Ioan Mantu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Laurențiu Stoican made an important save on a dangerous shot by Grigore Coșeriu in the 48th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Liviu Ungur made a kick off. A collision led to Gauriciu FC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Petre Gorjanu hit a great ball. Laurențiu Stoican showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Liviu Ungur in the 54th minute of the match. Virgil Codrescu's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Rareș Podgoreanu firmly grabbed it by the left post. With a little luck, Stegarii's Rareș Podgoreanu got control of the ball when Virgil Codrescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 59th match minute, Stegarii was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moise Frâncu to maneuver through the defense. When Virgil Codrescu came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Gauriciu FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Virgil Codrescu couldn't finish the play. Rareș Podgoreanu was a little too slow when Virgil Codrescu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 66th minute. The score was now 2-1. Cosmin Corlățean fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rareș Podgoreanu having to interfere. Ioan Mantu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rareș Podgoreanu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. Stegarii's Rareș Podgoreanu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Stegarii from getting a goal against them. 85 minutes into the game, Cosmin Corlățean cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Rareș Podgoreanu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Stegarii getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Iustinian Poplăcan hit a great ball. Virgil Codrescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Corneliu Stolniciu kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. When the final whistle sounded Gauriciu FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Stegarii.
