Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Daniel Capșuneanu got the match started through his kick off. Edgar Miniș showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Liviu Ungur, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Rafinăria Dărmănești's Edgar Miniș played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Liviu Ungur in the 11th minute of play. Grigore Coșeriu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Isac Popa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rareș Podgoreanu having to interfere. After having played for 21 minutes, Isac Popa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rafinăria Dărmănești's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isac Popa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Grigore Coșeriu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Liviu Ungur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Edgar Miniș tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Rafinăria Dărmănești's zone, Liviu Ungur stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgar Miniș came out of the goal and Liviu Ungur tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Liviu Ungur charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Liviu Ungur the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Stegarii getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Liviu Ungur hit a great ball. Grigore Coșeriu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Isac Popa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rafinăria Dărmănești's supporters rose to their feet, but Isac Popa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rareș Podgoreanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Liviu Ungur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Liviu Ungur stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Liviu Ungur managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stegarii's supporters rose to their feet, but Liviu Ungur was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgar Miniș breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edgar Miniș took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Liviu Ungur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Rafinăria Dărmănești booed when Stegarii was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Corneliu Stolniciu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 79 minutes, Daniel Capșuneanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rafinăria Dărmănești's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Capșuneanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Daniel Capșuneanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Isac Popa struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Rareș Podgoreanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rafinăria Dărmănești. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
