Ferdinand Muntian dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Ferdinand Muntian came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Rafinăria Dărmănești's Dumitru Văcărescu. But to his dismay, Dumitru Văcărescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Calistrat Stanciu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Isac Popa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Ferdinand Muntian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Nicu Stăniloaie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ferdinand Muntian came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Rafinăria Dărmănești's Dumitru Văcărescu. But to his dismay, Dumitru Văcărescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After a rather tough play, Steaua Dărmănești's Teodor Anghel got a free kick in the 34th minute. After having played for 36 minutes, Nicu Stăniloaie managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Steaua Dărmănești's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicu Stăniloaie was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Calistrat Stanciu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Edgar Miniș tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Rafinăria Dărmănești's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Teodor Anghel fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Ferdinand Muntian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Capșuneanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

A very good chance. 61 minutes into the match, Calistrat Stanciu notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Rafinăria Dărmănești's Edgar Miniș. Edgar Miniș was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Rafinăria Dărmănești's zone, Teodor Anghel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgar Miniș came out of the goal and Teodor Anghel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nicu Stăniloaie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Miniș having to interfere. Rafinăria Dărmănești's Edgar Miniș played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teodor Anghel in the 86th minute of play. Nicu Stăniloaie blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edgar Miniș having to make a save. After 90 played minutes Steaua Dărmănești got a freekick which was hit by Leontin Bîndean. Ferdinand Muntian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristinel Juverdeanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Nicu Stăniloaie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teodor Anghel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Edgar Miniș tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Rafinăria Dărmănești had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
