Pojereni AS's defense didn't have a chance, in the 64th minute, when Șerban Ciocoiu scored to the left of an out of position Emil Paraschivescu, making the score, 0-4. The crowd rose to their feet as Fauresti's Răzvan Curuțiu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Emil Paraschivescu. That made the score 0-5 after 70 minutes of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Niculae Baldovin got free with Emil Paraschivescu in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pojereni AS's Emil Paraschivescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narcis Ciuhandu in the 76th minute of play. When Niculae Baldovin fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fauresti's protests and gave Niculae Baldovin a yellow card for diving instead. Pojereni AS's defense didn't have a chance, in the 87th minute, when Șerban Ciocoiu scored to the left of an out of position Emil Paraschivescu, making the score, 0-6. After some careless play in the Pojereni AS defense, Niculae Baldovin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emil Paraschivescu. The Pojereni AS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emil Paraschivescu should have stopped the shot. Pojereni AS were furious when Mugurel Cârlan was red carded, 95 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 96th match minute, Pojereni AS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mugurel Cârlan to maneuver through the defense. Emil Paraschivescu came out of the goal in the 99th minute to try and stop a shot by Fauresti's Niculae Baldovin. But to his dismay, Niculae Baldovin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-8.
