With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mugurel Şteflea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mugurel Şteflea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurel Remus in the 24th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mihail Zburlea in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mugurel Şteflea saved Tomnatec from getting behind. Ştefan Ipate kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. In the 39th minute, Tomnatec's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Aurel Remus fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. With his leg Mugurel Şteflea managed to avoid a goal in the 39thth minute, when Tetcoiul's Vasile Dobrin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Mihail Zburlea might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mugurel Şteflea. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mihail Zburlea ran back to his position shaking his head. Tomnatec's Mugurel Şteflea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Tomnatec from getting a goal against them. Tomnatec's Mugurel Şteflea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mihail Zburlea in the 48th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mihail Zburlea to make the kick off. Tetcoiul's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vasile Dobrin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 79th match minute, Tomnatec was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paul Teaşcă to maneuver through the defense.
