The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Panait Dan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jijila's supporters rose to their feet, but Panait Dan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alin Hârlău breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marin Balint recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Alin Hârlău made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marin Balint in the 81st minute of play. If Eduard Frățilă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 88 minutes in the game Rareș Popilean got a great opportunity which he missed by shooting outside the goal. Francisc Ipătescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Alin Hârlău tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alin Hârlău didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eduard Frățilă went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score.
