Spectators: 7537 (Terracing: 5654, Seating: 1733, VIP seats: 150) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Cosmin Tofan got the match started through his kick off. In the 9th minute Dacian Greavu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alin Hârlău saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alin Hârlău showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cosmin Tofan in the 12th minute of the match. If Viorel Gârdan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 16th minute, Cosmin Tofan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dacian Greavu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alin Hârlău having to interfere. After a rather tough play, ASU Politehnica Timisoara's Petruț Busuioc got a free kick in the 25th minute. Iacob Bârsescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ionuț Dinulescu in the 27th minute. Alin Hârlău came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by ASU Politehnica Timisoara's Leontin Luncaniță. But to his dismay, Leontin Luncaniță quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 32nd minute, Leontin Luncaniță got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dacian Greavu in the 38th minute of play forced Teiusu's goalkeeper Alin Hârlău to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 40 minutes into the match, ASU Politehnica Timisoara's goal looked a bit too open when Gheorghe Brumă came free, but Iacob Bârsescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iacob Bârsescu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cezar Lera showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 50 minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adam Timaru to make the kick off. Petre Gherasescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 59 minutes into the match, ASU Politehnica Timisoara's goal looked a bit too open when Ionuț Dinulescu came free, but Iacob Bârsescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 62 minutes, Dorel Ologu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Teiusu and the ASU Politehnica Timisoara players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Teiusu's Dorel Ologu got a free kick in the 62nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adam Timaru in the 69th minute of play forced ASU Politehnica Timisoara's goalkeeper Iacob Bârsescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iacob Bârsescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adam Timaru's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. When Cezar Lera fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Teiusu's protests and gave Cezar Lera a yellow card for diving instead. Petruț Busuioc shot the penalty kick right outside the post. 94 minutes into the game, Dacian Greavu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alin Hârlău. Dacian Greavu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Dacian Greavu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 102nd minute of the match, but Alin Hârlău made a huge save. ASU Politehnica Timisoara's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
