Pojereni AS's Emil Paraschivescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Pojereni AS from getting a goal against them. Emil Paraschivescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fabian Frâncu in the 12th minute. Emil Paraschivescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisc Bivolaru in the 14th minute of the match. 18 minutes into the match, Pojereni AS's goal looked a bit too open when Francisc Bivolaru came free, but Emil Paraschivescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Pojereni AS's Denis Barbăsură seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Denis Barbăsură the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Pojereni AS protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Denis Barbăsură had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 22 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Pojereni AS! Narcis David hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Ivan Reznic sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 39 minutes, Mugurel Cârlan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pojereni AS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mugurel Cârlan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Francisc Bivolaru to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Francisc Bivolaru was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Colonia FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pojereni AS the free kick. A collision led to Colonia FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Francisc Bivolaru hit a great ball. Pojereni AS's Emil Paraschivescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabian Frâncu in the 56th minute of play. When Dorin Găvan fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pojereni AS's protests and gave Dorin Găvan a yellow card for diving instead. 58 minutes into the game, one of Pojereni AS:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 60th minute there was a penalty for Colonia FC. Augustin Mandache stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Emil Paraschivescu. 3-0. Emil Paraschivescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabian Frâncu's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. Emil Paraschivescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabian Frâncu, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Mugurel Cârlan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Petre Dinculescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gabriel Ghercioiu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mugurel Cârlan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Petre Dinculescu came out and tried to block the shot, but Mugurel Cârlan slotted it home off the left post making it 5-1 in the 87th minute. 92 minutes in the game, Gabriel Ghercioiu fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Petre Dinculescu having to interfere. When Gabriel Ghercioiu came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Pojereni AS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabriel Ghercioiu couldn't finish the play.
