Tomnatec's Mugurel Şteflea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viorel Gârdan in the 18th minute of play. 21 minutes into the game, Octavian Rogozea was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tomnatec's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ASU Politehnica Timisoara the free kick. Octavian Rogozea hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Mugurel Şteflea was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 6-0.

Mugurel Şteflea was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
