Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Anton Ivașcu got free with Ionuț Greculescu in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Sau CSS's Petre Cordescu got a free kick in the 58th minute. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Leonard Găman took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Ionuț Greculescu to make any attempt to save it. After having played for 64 minutes, Leonard Găman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sau CSS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonard Găman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
