Ionuț Greculescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Olimpiu Birișu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 11thth minute tested the skills of Ionuț Greculescu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Victor Coposu hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. 21 minutes into the game, Zapodeni AS's Olimpiu Birișu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ionuț Greculescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Zapodeni AS's Olimpiu Birișu got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Olimpiu Birișu got free with Ionuț Greculescu in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 32 minutes into the match, Narcis Vornicu notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Football Club Dică's Ionuț Greculescu. Ionuț Greculescu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Aurel Mihălțan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ionuț Greculescu having to interfere. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Olimpiu Birișu couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Olimpiu Birișu was the one to do the kick off. Ionuț Greculescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Narcis Vornicu, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. If Narcis Vornicu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 68 minutes into the match, Football Club Dică's goal looked a bit too open when Olimpiu Birișu came free, but Ionuț Greculescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 75 minutes into the game, Victor Coposu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Football Club Dică's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zapodeni AS the free kick.
