In the 22nd minute Martin Câmpeanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dacian Brânzaș saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dacian Brânzaș made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucrețiu Ichim in the 23rd minute of play. If Albert Aldea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. In the 27th minute Lucrețiu Ichim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dacian Brânzaș saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Josani's goalkeeper Dacian Brânzaș, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Martin Câmpeanu in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dacian Brânzaș prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 35 minutes, Lucrețiu Ichim managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gorunesti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucrețiu Ichim was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 37th minute Lucrețiu Ichim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dacian Brânzaș saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Albert Aldea came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the FC Josani fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albert Aldea couldn't finish the play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Albert Aldea to strike the kick off in the second half. Corneliu Poplăcean charged in rather forcefully in the 50th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Corneliu Poplăcean the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Corneliu Poplăcean hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. After having played for 53 minutes, Albert Aldea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cristinel Oravițan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiberiu Tofan in the 66th minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, Gorunesti's goal looked a bit too open when Albert Aldea came free, but Cristinel Oravițan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in FC Josani's zone, Lucrețiu Ichim stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dacian Brânzaș came out of the goal and Lucrețiu Ichim tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Martin Câmpeanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dacian Brânzaș having to interfere. Dacian Brânzaș showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucrețiu Ichim, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. FC Josani's Dacian Brânzaș proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save FC Josani from getting a goal against them. 80 minutes into the match, Gorunesti's goal looked a bit too open when Basarab Ursulescu came free, but Cristinel Oravițan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Josani's defense didn't have a chance, in the 89th minute, when Lucrețiu Ichim scored to the left of an out of position Dacian Brânzaș, making the score, 0-3. If Lucrețiu Ichim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
