Academia Jardea's Ionuț Iulian, in the 6th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for F.C. Academia Jardea. In the 7th match minute, Maciova was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Calistrat Buda to maneuver through the defense. If Vasile Pavel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Maciova's Victor Gherguț played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vasile Pavel in the 41st minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Panait Biriș made the kick off in the second half. Ionuț Iulian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Victor Gherguț tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Vasile Pavel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ionuț Iulian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vasile Pavel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Victor Gherguț read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. Academia Jardea's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vasile Pavel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vasile Pavel in the 93rd minute of play forced Maciova's goalkeeper Victor Gherguț to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ionuț Iulian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Liviu Vintilescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maciova's supporters rose to their feet, but Liviu Vintilescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ionel Jerca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. F.C. Academia Jardea walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
