Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Oprisorul FC's Ciprian Chinezu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Oprisorul FC's goal looked a bit too open when Claudiu Chelaru came free, but Grigore Şerb reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Grigore Trifu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Liviu Becheanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oprisorul FC's Ciprian Chinezu managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Codrin Zbârlea in the 19 minute of the game. The referee felt a red card was in order, 26 minutes into the game, when Martin Octavian put in a rough tackle. After 25 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Oprisorul FC! A collision led to Mosoiu Stars getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Gelu Bărcăuan hit a great ball. Mosoiu Stars's Claudiu Chelaru got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 35th minute Gelu Bărcăuan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Grigore Şerb saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ciprian Chinezu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mosoiu Stars's Liviu Becheanu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Mosoiu Stars from getting a goal against them. In the 45th minute, Vintilă Țâpu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Grigore Şerb made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudiu Chelaru in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
