CEAHLAUL's defense didn't have a chance, in the 8th minute, when Gelu Bărcăuan scored to the left of an out of position Bogdan Teodoreanu, making the score, 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Gelu Bărcăuan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mosoiu Stars's supporters rose to their feet, but Gelu Bărcăuan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bogdan Teodoreanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Liviu Becheanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gavril Mazăre, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 19th minute, Rareș Radovan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Liviu Becheanu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gavril Mazăre in the 22nd minute of play forced Mosoiu Stars's goalkeeper Liviu Becheanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Gavril Mazăre notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Mosoiu Stars's Liviu Becheanu. Liviu Becheanu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rareș Radovan in the 26th minute of play forced Mosoiu Stars's goalkeeper Liviu Becheanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Claudiu Chelaru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Bogdan Teodoreanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 31st match minute, F.C. CEAHLAUL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leontin Cimpoieru to maneuver through the defense. In the 36th minute, Mosoiu Stars's Gelu Bărcăuan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bogdan Teodoreanu. Bogdan Teodoreanu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. Gelu Bărcăuan struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Bogdan Teodoreanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mosoiu Stars. Leontin Cimpoieru kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Claudiu Chelaru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bogdan Teodoreanu having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rareș Radovan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for F.C. CEAHLAUL! Bogdan Teodoreanu came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Mosoiu Stars's Felix Nedelcea. But to his dismay, Felix Nedelcea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Dorin Cosâmbescu's late challenge caught a F.C. CEAHLAUL's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dorin Cosâmbescu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 59th match minute, Mosoiu Stars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dorin Cosâmbescu to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 60 minutes, Rareș Radovan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C. CEAHLAUL's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rareș Radovan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Claudiu Chelaru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 73 minutes, Rareș Radovan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C. CEAHLAUL's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rareș Radovan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gelu Bărcăuan took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bogdan Teodoreanu. Bogdan Teodoreanu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. Claudiu Chelaru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leontin Cimpoieru might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Liviu Becheanu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leontin Cimpoieru ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 99th minute, Mosoiu Stars's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gavril Mazăre fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Mosoiu Stars fans cheered their team off the field, for while F.C. CEAHLAUL had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
