Tolos's Sorin Bârza quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Moise Crăcană, made in the 7th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Ion Ciocan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tolos's supporters rose to their feet, but Ion Ciocan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mihai Macamete breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Valentin Firea hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Tulesti's Moise Crăcană got a free kick in the 26th minute. Valentin Firea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Mihai Macamete tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ion Ciocan in the 33rd minute of play forced Tulesti's goalkeeper Mihai Macamete to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ion Ciocan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mihai Macamete didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ion Ciocan went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gică Isbășoiu made a kick off. The supporters of Tulesti booed when Tolos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sorin Bârza didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56th minute of the match Cristinel Luncașu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Albert Gavrilescu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Ion Ciocan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ion Ciocan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ion Ciocan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mihai Macamete having to interfere. After some careless play in the Tolos defense, Gică Isbășoiu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Albert Gavrilescu. The Tolos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Albert Gavrilescu should have stopped the shot. Albert Gavrilescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gică Isbășoiu went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-5 was the resulting score. Tolos's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
