He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cfr cluj reached it. If Cristinel Sorin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 5th minute, Niculae Ciprian got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ciprian Mardare showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristinel Sorin, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Niculae Ciprian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Iurie Dinulescu in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ciprian Mardare prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Oțelul Galați's Bogdan Sava got a free kick in the 15th minute. Ciprian Mardare made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristinel Sorin in the 20th minute of play. Adam Ciocoiu kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Oțelul Galați's Ciprian Mardare played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristinel Sorin in the 22nd minute of play. If Gigi Blaj had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oțelul Galați's Ciprian Mardare proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Oțelul Galați from getting a goal against them. After 37 played minutes Oțelul Galați got a freekick which was hit by Nechifor Vulcan. If Nechifor Aplugăriței had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 69 minutes into the match, Oțelul Galați's goal looked a bit too open when Cristinel Sorin came free, but Ciprian Mardare reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 73 minutes into the match, Oțelul Galați's Gigi Blaj sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ionel Postelnicescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nechifor Aplugăriței received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ionel Postelnicescu came out and tried to block the shot, but Nechifor Aplugăriței slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 75th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Cfr cluj's Ovidiu Niculcea tried to score from far away in the 84th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Cristinel Sorin kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
