Spectators: 6722 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1722, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Alin Blănaru kicked off to start the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alin Blănaru in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ionel Postelnicescu saved Cfr cluj from getting behind. Alin Blănaru spun around in front of the goal 8 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Cfr cluj's goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Iurie Dinulescu during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Cfr cluj getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Iurie Dinulescu hit a great ball. Alin Pușcariu charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alin Pușcariu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 17 played minutes Curciu got a freekick which was hit by Alin Pușcariu. Iacob Dănănae hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Cristinel Sorin took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tudor Turcan. Tudor Turcan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 25th minute Niculae Ciprian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tudor Turcan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th minute, Cristinel Sorin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 27th match minute, Curciu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Covrig to maneuver through the defense. Iurie Culcer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ionel Postelnicescu having to interfere. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cristinel Sorin made a kick off. Tudor Turcan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristinel Sorin in the 51st minute of play. Daniel Covrig hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Curciu's Tudor Turcan got control of the ball when Niculae Ciprian tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tudor Turcan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristinel Sorin, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Ionel Postelnicescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iurie Culcer, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Ionel Postelnicescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iurie Culcer in the 88th minute of the match. Alin Blănaru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Ionel Postelnicescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Curciu supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Cfr cluj's performance. The match ended with a win for Cfr cluj.
