After the first half Shadows Team were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Isac Martinaș came free with the goalkeeper in the 53rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Cristian Macarie could save by the left post. Cristian Macarie was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cezar Bălace showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 57 minute of play. In the 61st minute, Florin Amitroaiei made a precise shot to the right of Alexandru Bologa. Shadows Team's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Iurie Onuț during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Marian Oțeteleșanu's late challenge caught a Shadows Team's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marian Oțeteleșanu helped the player get up and apologised. Shadows Team's Cezar Bălace got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Cezar Bălace came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Shadows Team fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cezar Bălace couldn't finish the play. After 86 played minutes Shadows Team got a freekick which was hit by Mihnea Mârza. Alexandru Bologa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Narcis Georgescu in the 97th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Shadows Team eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
