The ball went over the crossbar instead. Costică Ciolpan in the 6thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Virgil Huidu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 12th minute, Dobolt's Cezar Zogreanu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Virgil Huidu. Virgil Huidu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 17thth minute of the game Cezar Zogreanu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Santimbru FC's Virgil Huidu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dobolt's Paul Proca shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 19th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Virgil Huidu but with some difficulty. Dragoş Bârlea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Iustinian Datcu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Virgil Huidu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Costică Ciolpan in the 29th minute. When Costică Ciolpan came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Dobolt fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Costică Ciolpan couldn't finish the play. Virgil Huidu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Costică Ciolpan in the 46th minute. Cezar Zogreanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Virgil Huidu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cezar Zogreanu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Dobolt's goal looked a bit too open when Dragoş Bârlea came free, but Nichifor Răica reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santimbru FC's Dragoş Bârlea was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 56th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Dragoş Bârlea kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nichifor Răica. That made the score 1-2 in the 60 minute of play. Cezar Zogreanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Virgil Huidu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cezar Zogreanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgil Huidu having to interfere. 75 minutes into the match, Santimbru FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cezar Zogreanu came free, but Virgil Huidu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cezar Zogreanu in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Virgil Huidu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cazimir Iosif charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cazimir Iosif the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 86th minute of the game. One of Santimbru FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Dobolt:s goal. If Cezar Zogreanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Costică Ciolpan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
