But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iustinian Datcu couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Tata getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Robert Eniceicu hit a great ball. Iustinian Datcu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Marcu Mugur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Virgil Huidu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dan Ivan in the 20th minute of the match. Santimbru FC's Virgil Huidu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dan Ivan in the 27th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Santimbru FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dan Ivan came free, but Virgil Huidu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute Marcu Mugur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgil Huidu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Laurențiu Armanca fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tata's protests and gave Laurențiu Armanca a yellow card for diving instead. Iordache Vintilă, 37 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Iustinian Datcu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dan Ivan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Virgil Huidu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dan Ivan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Santimbru FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Iustinian Datcu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Horia Dragotescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Virgil Huidu stood somewhat misplaced when Dan Ivan came free in front of goal and shot 2-2 to the left of him in the 87 minute. Dan Ivan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgil Huidu having to interfere. If Dan Ivan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dan Ivan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 100th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Virgil Huidu having to make a save. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Tata walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
