In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Oltul Rapid's goalkeeper Octavian Latarețu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ioan Chibulcutean came free with the goalkeeper in the 32nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Octavian Latarețu could save by the left post. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC Oltul Rapid players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for S.S.
