Răzvan Petrescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dan Ivan, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. In the 7th match minute, FC Flalex was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damian Breazu to maneuver through the defense. Dan Ivan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Răzvan Petrescu came out and tried to block the shot, but Dan Ivan slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 9th minute. 13 minutes into the match, Tata's goal looked a bit too open when Adrian Amărculesei came free, but Horia Dragotescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Răzvan Petrescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcu Mugur in the 16th minute. Horia Dragotescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrian Amărculesei in the 17th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in FC Flalex's zone, Marcu Mugur stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Răzvan Petrescu came out of the goal and Marcu Mugur tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dan Ivan in the 21st minute of play forced FC Flalex's goalkeeper Răzvan Petrescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to FC Flalex getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Remus Badea hit a great ball. 27 minutes into the match, FC Flalex's goalkeeper Răzvan Petrescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcu Mugur. After having played for 29 minutes, Marcu Mugur managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tata's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcu Mugur was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tata's Dan Ivan got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marcu Mugur recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 40thth minute of the game Dan Ivan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Flalex's Răzvan Petrescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 41st minute, Marcu Mugur got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Tata's Dan Ivan in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Flalex's goalie prevented a goal. Marcu Mugur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Dan Ivan made the kick off in the second half. If Robert Eniceicu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Horia Dragotescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Șerban Zglimbea in the 60th minute. If Șerban Zglimbea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Răzvan Petrescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dan Ivan in the 64th minute of play. If Șerban Zglimbea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Flalex's Răzvan Petrescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcu Mugur in the 75th minute of play. Dan Ivan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Răzvan Petrescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 85th minute, Damian Breazu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dan Ivan in the 90th minute of play forced FC Flalex's goalkeeper Răzvan Petrescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Marcu Mugur came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Tata fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcu Mugur couldn't finish the play. After having played for 96 minutes, Marcu Mugur managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tata's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcu Mugur was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tata's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
