Spectators: 7555 (Terracing: 5668, Seating: 1737, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Marian Cimpoieru kicked off to start the match. 2 minutes into the game, one of Plapcea:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Dumitru Andriescu walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Marian Cimpoieru might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Toader Lamru. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marian Cimpoieru ran back to his position shaking his head. Toader Lamru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferdinand Bodiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. When Valeriu Ecobescu fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC H2 GALATI's protests and gave Valeriu Ecobescu a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to FC H2 GALATI getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Valeriu Ecobescu hit a great ball. Toader Lamru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marian Cimpoieru, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Toader Lamru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferdinand Bodiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Toader Lamru stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marian Cimpoieru's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Virgil Dulca kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Toader Lamru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marian Cimpoieru, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Ferdinand Bodiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Toader Lamru came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Plapcea's Marian Cimpoieru. But to his dismay, Marian Cimpoieru quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Ferdinand Bodiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC H2 GALATI fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 36th minute. Penalty! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Stelian Alupulesei made a kick off. In the 55th minute Marian Cimpoieru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toader Lamru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the last second Toader Lamru throw himself and got hold of the ball when Marian Cimpoieru in the 56thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. The long shot by Franc Salah in the 58th minute really tested Toader Lamru's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After a rather tough play, Plapcea's Ferdinand Bodiu got a free kick in the 59th minute. After having played for 60 minutes, Panait Antonescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC H2 GALATI's supporters crossed their fingers, but Panait Antonescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Virgil Dulca was shown his second yellow card after 65 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, FC H2 GALATI's Virgil Dulca got a free kick in the 66th minute. Toader Lamru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marian Cimpoieru in the 67th minute of play. In the 74th minute, one of FC H2 GALATI:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC H2 GALATI. The referee gave Plapcea a penalty, 77 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Franc Salah, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of FC H2 GALATI's Toader Lamru. 0-3. A collision led to Plapcea getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Chico Baiano hit a great ball. The supporters of Plapcea booed when FC H2 GALATI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valeriu Ecobescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 86th minute, Plapcea's Marian Cimpoieru ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Toader Lamru. Toader Lamru yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. After a defensive mix-up in FC H2 GALATI's zone, Marian Cimpoieru stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Toader Lamru came out of the goal and Marian Cimpoieru tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Toader Lamru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marian Cimpoieru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marian Cimpoieru had several of the FC H2 GALATI's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 98 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-5 score and a disappointed Toader Lamru as he didn't even see the shot coming. Plapcea's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
