Spectators: 6350 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1250, VIP seats: 100) Manuel Baciu scored 0-1 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Octavian Latarețu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Octavian Latarețu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valeriu Dijmărescu in the 8th minute of play. Manuel Baciu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Octavian Latarețu having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in FC Oltul Rapid's zone, Răzvan Spirea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Octavian Latarețu came out of the goal and Răzvan Spirea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 24 played minutes Liberty FC got a freekick which was hit by Alin Itoafă. FC Oltul Rapid's Octavian Latarețu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Baciu in the 29th minute of play. In the 30thth minute of the game Răzvan Spirea who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Oltul Rapid's Octavian Latarețu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Octavian Latarețu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Răzvan Spirea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 39 minutes into the match, FC Oltul Rapid's goal looked a bit too open when Alin Itoafă came free, but Octavian Latarețu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ioan Todericiu kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Răzvan Spirea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Octavian Latarețu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Andrei Horhoianu to strike the kick off in the second half. Manuel Baciu might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Octavian Latarețu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Manuel Baciu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Octavian Latarețu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. A collision led to FC Oltul Rapid getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Denis Sârbu hit a great ball. In the 82ndth minute of the game Andrei Horhoianu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Liberty FC's Ernest Bondrea was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 82 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Andrei Horhoianu sped through Liberty FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ernest Bondrea. 87 minutes into the match, Liberty FC's goal looked a bit too open when Andrei Horhoianu came free, but Ernest Bondrea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 96th minute, one of FC Oltul Rapid:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC Oltul Rapid.
