Virgil Huidu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Răzvan Spirea in the 16th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Liberty FC's Virgil Huidu threw himself towards the right post 17 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Răzvan Spirea, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 18th minute, Liberty FC's Manuel Baciu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Virgil Huidu. Virgil Huidu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. After 24 minutes, Valeriu Dijmărescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Liberty FC and the Santimbru FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 24 played minutes Liberty FC got a freekick which was hit by Valeriu Dijmărescu. Iustinian Datcu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernest Bondrea having to interfere. In the 29th play minute Manuel Baciu came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Virgil Huidu. 2-0. In the 33rd minute Răzvan Spirea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgil Huidu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cazimir Otopeanu during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Răzvan Spirea's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Virgil Huidu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. A collision led to Liberty FC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Panait Pantea hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, Liberty FC's Virgil Huidu threw himself towards the right post 43 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Răzvan Spirea, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Răzvan Spirea in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Virgil Huidu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Răzvan Spirea was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Santimbru FC's goalkeeper Virgil Huidu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 54 minutes, Răzvan Spirea made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Santimbru FC's Virgil Huidu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. During the 57th minute of the match Cazimir Otopeanu completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Cazimir Otopeanu a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 58 played minutes Santimbru FC got a freekick which was hit by Cazimir Otopeanu. Iustin Ologu charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Iustin Ologu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Santimbru FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Iustin Ologu hit a great ball. Manuel Baciu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Virgil Huidu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cazimir Iosif during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 72 minutes into the match, Liberty FC's Mihail Lăzan broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. A collision led to Santimbru FC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Nistor Popete hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Manuel Baciu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Virgil Huidu was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. Manuel Baciu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Virgil Huidu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cosmin Măgherușan struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Virgil Huidu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Liberty FC. If Manuel Baciu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Santimbru FC defense, Răzvan Spirea kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Virgil Huidu. The Santimbru FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Virgil Huidu should have stopped the shot. Virgil Huidu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Baciu, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Liberty FC had played much better football throughout.
