Lazio Craiova's Dan Șerbulescu tried to score from far away in the 5th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Marcu Mugur recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Marcu Mugur's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Octavian Manole was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valer Ghionea during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to S.S. Lazio Craiova getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Valer Ghionea hit a great ball. In the 16th minute of the match Liviu Coja sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Octavian Manole skillfully saved the ball. Octavian Manole showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dan Ivan, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Iosif Păun during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, S.S.
