Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Andrei Horhoianu took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 5th play minutes Răzvan Spirea shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Octavian Latarețu and just under the crossbar into goal. The attack was good, but when Răzvan Spirea in the 9th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. 10 minutes into the match, FC Oltul Rapid's goalkeeper Octavian Latarețu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Manuel Baciu. Ernest Bondrea came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Oltul Rapid's Andrei Horhoianu. But to his dismay, Andrei Horhoianu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Răzvan Spirea in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Octavian Latarețu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 24 minutes into the match, FC Oltul Rapid's Andrei Horhoianu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ernest Bondrea narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Codruț Taşcău hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manuel Baciu got free with Octavian Latarețu in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Andrei Horhoianu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernest Bondrea having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Manuel Baciu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Liberty FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Manuel Baciu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Octavian Latarețu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Răzvan Spirea stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Manuel Baciu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Octavian Latarețu was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Mihăiţă Focșa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard shot 61 in the game by Mihăiţă Focșa from a close distance when the talented Ernest Bondrea managed to make a qualified save. Liberty FC's players were relieved. 63 minutes into the game, Liberty FC's Manuel Baciu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Octavian Latarețu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. In the 66th minute, Răzvan Spirea left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Liberty FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. Octavian Latarețu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Răzvan Spirea in the 71st minute of the match. In the 74th minute Răzvan Spirea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavian Latarețu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 75 minutes into the game, Liberty FC's Manuel Baciu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Octavian Latarețu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-2. FC Oltul Rapid's Octavian Latarețu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Răzvan Spirea in the 85th minute of play. Răzvan Spirea might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Octavian Latarețu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Răzvan Spirea ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 90 minutes, Răzvan Spirea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Liberty FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Răzvan Spirea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Manuel Baciu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There was no doubt that Liberty FC were the better team. Liberty FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
