In the 13th minute, Nichifor Chifu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 20th minute of the game, Dan Macovescu landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Manuel Pană during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 20th match minute, Trollibus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Pană to maneuver through the defense. URECH's Sever Dacian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vintilă Tomozei in the 22nd minute of play. When Vali Brezoi fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored URECH's protests and gave Vali Brezoi a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to URECH getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Vali Brezoi hit a great ball. Nichifor Chifu struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Sever Dacian didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Trollibus. Sever Dacian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vintilă Tomozei in the 29th minute of play. After 30 minutes of play, Trollibus's Vintilă Tomozei made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sever Dacian was left in no man's land by his defense there! 34 minutes into the game, Trollibus's Nichifor Chifu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sever Dacian made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. If Nichifor Chifu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcel Cârstea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denis Alungulesei having to interfere. After some careless play in the URECH defense, Nichifor Chifu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sever Dacian. The URECH fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sever Dacian should have stopped the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vintilă Tomozei stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Vintilă Tomozei struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Sever Dacian didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Trollibus. With a little luck, URECH's Sever Dacian got control of the ball when Nichifor Chifu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nichifor Chifu might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sever Dacian. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nichifor Chifu ran back to his position shaking his head. Nichifor Chifu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcel Cârstea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Marcel Cârstea came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the URECH fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcel Cârstea couldn't finish the play. In the 88th minute, Vintilă Tomozei fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Denis Alungulesei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcel Cârstea in the 95th minute of play.
