In the 10thth minute of the game Grigore Preda who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but URECH's Sever Dacian was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 10 minutes, Grigore Preda made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. URECH's Sever Dacian tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Dorin Ghinescu charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dorin Ghinescu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Craiova FC's Dorin Ghinescu got a free kick in the 14th minute. Nistor Ipătescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Șerban Zbârcea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nistor Ipătescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcel Cârstea in the 19th minute. In the 20th minute, Iustin Ungheanu made a precise shot to the right of Sever Dacian. Sever Dacian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iustin Ungheanu in the 39th minute of play. When Craiova FC's Grigore Preda in the 48th minute got a chance for a shot 48th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye URECH's goalie prevented a goal. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 52nd minute, Șerban Zbârcea left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The URECH fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. A collision led to Craiova FC getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Iustin Ungheanu hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Craiova FC's zone, Șerban Zbârcea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nistor Ipătescu came out of the goal and Șerban Zbârcea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nistor Ipătescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Șerban Zbârcea, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Iustin Ungheanu might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sever Dacian. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Iustin Ungheanu ran back to his position shaking his head. Luca Mandache could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Sever Dacian made a huge save. After 72 played minutes Craiova FC got a freekick which was hit by Vasile Grozuță. It was beautiful to see URECH's Manuel Romoşan in action when he in the 74th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! If Iustin Ungheanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 91 minutes into the match, Craiova FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marcel Cârstea came free, but Nistor Ipătescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard shot 95 in the game by Grigore Preda from a close distance when the talented Sever Dacian managed to make a qualified save. URECH's players were relieved. After having played for 96 minutes, Iustin Ungheanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Craiova FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iustin Ungheanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Craiova FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
