Remus Jivulescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrian Bocaneț having to interfere. If Dan Baran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 14th minute, Dan Ştoia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emanuel Cristoiu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After having played for 21 minutes, Dan Ştoia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SSC Steaua's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dan Ştoia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Calistrat Buciuman fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Porganj's protests and gave Calistrat Buciuman a yellow card for diving instead. In the 22nd minute, Calistrat Buciuman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 28 minutes into the match, SSC Steaua's goal looked a bit too open when Sever Agudin came free, but Adrian Bocaneț reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 37 played minutes, SSC Steaua's Flavius Unciuleanu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Emanuel Cristoiu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SSC Steaua reached it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mihail Tulbure in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emanuel Cristoiu saved Porganj from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Porganj's Nicodim Căplescu got a free kick in the 38th minute. If Dan Ştoia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mihail Tulbure sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Remus Jivulescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Adrian Bocaneț tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Remus Jivulescu was the one to do the kick off. If Mihail Tulbure had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Dan Ştoia managed to get in a good position for a shot. SSC Steaua's supporters rose to their feet, but Dan Ştoia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emanuel Cristoiu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 56 minutes into the match, Porganj's Sever Agudin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adrian Bocaneț narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 59th minute, Sever Agudin made a precise shot to the right of Adrian Bocaneț. SSC Steaua's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 69thth minute of the game Mihail Tulbure who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Porganj's Emanuel Cristoiu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 72 minutes into the match, SSC Steaua's Dan Ştoia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emanuel Cristoiu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mihail Tulbure recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Nicodim Căplescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Porganj's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicodim Căplescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adrian Bocaneț breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Narcis Chițu fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SSC Steaua's protests and gave Narcis Chițu a yellow card for diving instead. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Sever Agudin put it in 2-3 from a short distance just to the right of Adrian Bocaneț. After 94 played minutes Porganj got a freekick which was hit by Nicodim Căplescu. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Porganj walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
