Spectators: 7482 (Terracing: 5613, Seating: 1720, VIP seats: 149) Spurs-România's Cristinel Bianu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ion Milescu got free with Bogdan Prunaru in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Ion Milescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sochi's supporters rose to their feet, but Ion Milescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bogdan Prunaru breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cristinel Bianu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 20th minute, Teodor Hăulică hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ion Milescu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 22ndth minute, Bogdan Prunaru skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. A collision led to Spurs-România getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Valentin Cristian hit a great ball. If Ion Milescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th minute, Ion Milescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mihăiţă Coșereanu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bogdan Prunaru read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Ion Milescu scored 2-0 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bogdan Prunaru, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpected shot in the 44th minute by Ion Milescu got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Costel Grindeanu charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Costel Grindeanu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 45th minute, one of Spurs-România:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Spurs-România. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mihăiţă Coșereanu made a kick off. After 53 minutes of play, Sochi's Mihăiţă Coșereanu made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bogdan Prunaru was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Mihăiţă Coșereanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ion Milescu took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bogdan Prunaru. Bogdan Prunaru dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. After 68 played minutes Spurs-România got a freekick which was hit by Valentin Cristian. Lucrețiu Cândreanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mădălin Odobescu having to interfere. If Ion Milescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by David Rareș during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Spurs-România's David Rareș got a free kick in the 77th minute. Bogdan Prunaru came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Sochi's Mihăiţă Coșereanu. But to his dismay, Mihăiţă Coșereanu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. When Mihăiţă Coșereanu came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Sochi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mihăiţă Coșereanu couldn't finish the play. Ion Milescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Bogdan Prunaru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There was no doubt that Sochi were the better team. Sochi's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
