Spectators: 7506 (Terracing: 5630, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 150) Ciprian Peter made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 4th minute, Teodor Hăulică hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alex Bunescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ion Milescu in the 6th minute. In the 11th minute, Vali Răducu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Sochi's zone, Ciprian Peter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mădălin Odobescu came out of the goal and Ciprian Peter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mădălin Odobescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciprian Peter in the 17th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vali Răducu in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mădălin Odobescu saved Sochi from getting behind. Gigi Enoiu charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gigi Enoiu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Sochi booed when Satelitu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gigi Enoiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 35 played minutes Satelitu got a freekick which was hit by Gigi Enoiu. After recieving a nice pass, Sochi's Sergiu Ceaușu tried to score from far away in the 36th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Mădălin Odobescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciprian Peter in the 38th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vali Răducu in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mădălin Odobescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 41st match minute, Sochi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodor Hăulică to maneuver through the defense. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Mădălin Odobescu made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Vali Răducu sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 62 minutes, Vali Răducu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Satelitu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vali Răducu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sabin Buda hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Ciprian Peter took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Mădălin Odobescu to make any attempt to save it. Liviu Talianu hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. The supporters of Sochi booed when Satelitu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vali Răducu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Satelitu's goal looked a bit too open when Mihăiţă Coșereanu came free, but Alex Bunescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mihăiţă Coșereanu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alex Bunescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Vali Răducu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Satelitu's supporters rose to their feet, but Vali Răducu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mădălin Odobescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mădălin Odobescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciprian Peter in the 90th minute of play. Satelitu's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
