In the 10th minute, Iustin Istrate made a precise shot to the right of Laurențiu Chioreanu. Santelena's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Giuvaresti CF's Stelian Pârlea got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Iustin Istrate had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iustin Istrates short, quick shot in the 21stth minute got Laurențiu Chioreanu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Eliodor Buceceanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Laurențiu Chioreanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Santelena defense, Iustin Istrate kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Laurențiu Chioreanu. The Santelena fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Laurențiu Chioreanu should have stopped the shot. Giuvaresti CF's Iustin Istrate got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Iustin Istrate was the one to do the kick off. 61 minutes into the match, Eliodor Buceceanu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Laurențiu Chioreanu. Santelena's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eliodor Buceceanu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Iustin Istrate recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eliodor Buceceanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laurențiu Chioreanu having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Iustin Istrate in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Laurențiu Chioreanu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eliodor Buceceanu took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Laurențiu Chioreanu. Laurențiu Chioreanu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Iustin Istrate sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 83rd minute, Eliodor Buceceanu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Laurențiu Chioreanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iustin Istrate in the 89th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Eliodor Buceceanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Giuvaresti CF's supporters rose to their feet, but Eliodor Buceceanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Laurențiu Chioreanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eliodor Buceceanu might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Laurențiu Chioreanu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eliodor Buceceanu ran back to his position shaking his head. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Giuvaresti CF had played much better football throughout.
