Spectators: 7506 (Terracing: 5630, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 150) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Marin Geantă got the match started through his kick off. Marin Geantă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Leonard Aluncai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 6th minute Marin Geantă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonard Aluncai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 11 played minutes C.S.Șoimii Lipova got a freekick which was hit by Tiberiu Stroiescu. In the 13th match minute, C.S.Șoimii Lipova was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ion Orășan to maneuver through the defense. 14 minutes into the match, Ciuta's Petre Lesnea broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Cosmin Băcila fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonard Aluncai having to interfere. In the 22nd match minute, C.S.Șoimii Lipova was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albert Arnăuțescu to maneuver through the defense. Petre Lesnea struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Leonard Aluncai didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ciuta. Marin Geantă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Leonard Aluncai showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marin Geantă, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Leonard Aluncai came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Ciuta's Marin Geantă. But to his dismay, Marin Geantă quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ion Orășan in the 39th minute of play forced Ciuta's goalkeeper Costel Iorda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 41 minutes into the game, C.S.Șoimii Lipova's Gheorghe Giuverdea nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Costel Iorda made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Șerban Hârlab struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Costel Iorda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C.S.Șoimii Lipova.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Șerban Hârlab stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Ciuta's Costel Iorda got control of the ball when Gheorghe Giuverdea tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Marin Geantă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ion Orășan kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in C.S.Șoimii Lipova's zone, Cosmin Băcila stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonard Aluncai came out of the goal and Cosmin Băcila tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 87th minute, Marin Geantă got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Cosmin Băcila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Laurențiu Iacobeanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonard Aluncai having to interfere. Petre Lesnea kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marin Geantă in the 96th minute of play forced C.S.Șoimii Lipova's goalkeeper Leonard Aluncai to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 98 minutes into the match, C.S.Șoimii Lipova's goal looked a bit too open when Cosmin Băcila came free, but Leonard Aluncai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ciuta were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing C.S.Șoimii Lipova to leave the ground with a draw.
