Marcu Găvan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Rareș Romoşan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 8 played minutes Speranta got a freekick which was hit by Stelian Aluncai. Dacian Lixandru scored 1-0 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rareș Romoşan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Livezeni AC's Rareș Romoşan got control of the ball when Dacian Lixandru tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 27th minute, Marcu Găvan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Speranta getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Aurel Ţugui hit a great ball. In the 33rd minute, Eric Bogdănescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dacian Lixandru recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Emil Mergea took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cristian Aldescu. Cristian Aldescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After 44 minutes, Marcu Găvan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Speranta and the Livezeni AC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 44th minute, Marcu Găvan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dinu Băncilă took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 46th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cristian Aldescu. Speranta's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Costică Podgoreanu walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcu Găvan was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Livezeni AC's goal looked a bit too open when Dacian Lixandru came free, but Rareș Romoşan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 56 minutes into the game, Stelian Aluncai was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Speranta's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Livezeni AC the free kick. After 56 played minutes Speranta got a freekick which was hit by Stelian Aluncai. Rareș Romoşan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcu Găvan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Martin Paraschiv sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Livezeni AC's Rareș Romoşan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dacian Lixandru in the 66th minute of play. Rareș Romoşan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcu Găvan's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. If Dacian Lixandru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rareș Romoşan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcu Găvan in the 81st minute of the match. Iustin Dumitrescu's late challenge caught a Speranta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Iustin Dumitrescu helped the player get up and apologised. Iustin Dumitrescu hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Rareș Romoşan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcu Găvan went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score.
