Gheorghe Aldescu started the match with the kick off. Eusebiu Mitruț showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adam Angheluță in the 5th minute of the match. Gigi Alb kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. In the 14th minute, Gheorghe Aldescu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ortisoara fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. FC HERMANNSTADT's Marius Coja played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matei Nițisor in the 17th minute of play. Eusebiu Mitruț took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adam Angheluță, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Iustinian Zbereanu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Eusebiu Mitruț made a huge save. Avram Domuță charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Avram Domuță the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 22nd minute, Avram Domuță hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Iustinian Zbereanus short, quick shot in the 24thth minute got Eusebiu Mitruț to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Marius Coja stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Matei Nițisor's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. In the 28th minute, Irinel Oproiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 30 minutes into the match, Ortisoara's Matei Nițisor sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marius Coja narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Adam Angheluță received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Eusebiu Mitruț tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 42 minutes into the game, Cristi Arseanu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC HERMANNSTADT's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ortisoara the free kick. After 42 played minutes FC HERMANNSTADT got a freekick which was hit by Cristi Arseanu. Luca Ioviță was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 43rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. FC HERMANNSTADT's Iustinian Zbereanu got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The FC HERMANNSTADT players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ortisoara were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adam Angheluță to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andrei Ciorogaru got free with Marius Coja in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 54 minutes into the match, FC HERMANNSTADT's goal looked a bit too open when Gheorghe Aldescu came free, but Marius Coja reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Gigi Alb fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC HERMANNSTADT's protests and gave Gigi Alb a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to FC HERMANNSTADT getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Gigi Alb hit a great ball. Eusebiu Mitruț made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iustinian Zbereanu in the 62nd minute of play. Adam Angheluță received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Eusebiu Mitruț tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Matei Nițisor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Marius Coja tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iustinian Zbereanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusebiu Mitruț having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gheorghe Aldescu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 79th match minute, Ortisoara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gheorghe Aldescu to maneuver through the defense. Ionel Andronic, 80 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Iustinian Zbereanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 86th minute, Cristi Arseanu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Matei Nițisor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marius Coja having to interfere. A collision led to FC HERMANNSTADT getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Nichifor Ciulei hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Matei Nițisor got free with Marius Coja in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Matei Nițisor struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Marius Coja didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ortisoara.
