After some careless play in the FC HERMANNSTADT defense, Dacian Lixandru kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marius Coja. The FC HERMANNSTADT fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marius Coja should have stopped the shot. If Dacian Lixandru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Dacian Lixandru managed to get in a good position for a shot. Speranta's supporters rose to their feet, but Dacian Lixandru was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marius Coja breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Marcu Găvan, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 25 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Marius Coja was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 28 minutes in the game, Marcu Găvan fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Marius Coja having to interfere. Marcu Găvan struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Marius Coja didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Speranta. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dacian Lixandru got free with Marius Coja in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cristi Arseanu hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 34th minute, Gigi Alb hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 34th match minute Costică Podgoreanu ran free in the middle of the field and shot a long shot which scored behind a totally surprised Marius Coja. 3-0. Cristi Arseanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, FC HERMANNSTADT's Marius Coja got control of the ball when Dacian Lixandru tried to sneak it across the goal line. 45 minutes into the match, Iustinian Zbereanu notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Speranta's Cristian Aldescu. Cristian Aldescu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

The wind increased when Adam Angheluță made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Speranta's zone, Adam Angheluță stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristian Aldescu came out of the goal and Adam Angheluță tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 56 minutes into the game, Adam Angheluță was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC HERMANNSTADT's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Speranta the free kick. The supporters of Speranta booed when FC HERMANNSTADT was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adam Angheluță didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Iustinian Zbereanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stelian Aluncai hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. 65 minutes into the match, Speranta's goal looked a bit too open when Adam Angheluță came free, but Cristian Aldescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dacian Lixandru might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marius Coja. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dacian Lixandru ran back to his position shaking his head. Marius Coja showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcu Găvan, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. In the 70th minute, Stelian Aluncai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Speranta getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Stelian Aluncai hit a great ball. Marius Coja showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcu Găvan in the 81st minute of the match. Marcu Găvan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marius Coja having to make a save. Dacian Lixandru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Marius Coja tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Aurel Ţugui fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Speranta's protests and gave Aurel Ţugui a yellow card for diving instead. In the 95th match minute, Speranta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aurel Ţugui to maneuver through the defense. Speranta walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
