The referee showed Dumitru Bâlea the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 4th minute, Dumitru Bâlea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 6 minutes into the game, Romeo Voica was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Marosest's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ispi the free kick. In the 6th match minute, Marosest was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romeo Voica to maneuver through the defense. Cristi Oblemenco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Corneliu Romulus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Anton Fărcașu fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Marosest's protests and gave Anton Fărcașu a yellow card for diving instead. When Marosest's George Antonescu in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye ispi's goalie prevented a goal. Cristi Oblemenco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aron Iliuță, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After 17 minutes, Aron Iliuță mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ispi and the Marosest players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, ispi's Aron Iliuță got a free kick in the 17th minute. Sever Stoian could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Cristi Oblemenco made a huge save. Cristi Oblemenco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Șerban Cozorici, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 22 minutes, George Antonescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marosest's supporters crossed their fingers, but George Antonescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 26 minutes into the match, Marosest's goalkeeper Cristi Oblemenco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sever Stoian. Sever Stoian's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Cristi Oblemenco firmly grabbed it by the left post. Romeo Voica was shown his second yellow card after 35 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Marosest getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Romeo Voica hit a great ball. In the 36th minute of the match Valeriu Secară sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cristi Oblemenco skillfully saved the ball. 39 minutes into the match, Marosest's Leonard Chifu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ionuț Hârțan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 42nd minute, Manuel Negruț ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ionuț Hârțan was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Corneliu Romulus was the one to do the kick off. Manuel Negruț fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ionuț Hârțan having to interfere. Anton Fărcașu hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Cristi Oblemenco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Corneliu Romulus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 64th minute there was a penalty for ispi. Valeriu Secară stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Cristi Oblemenco. 1-1. George Antonescu struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Ionuț Hârțan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Marosest. If George Antonescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marosest played a much better game than ispi and deserved their victory. The ispi players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
