Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) FC Rapid's Emil Stejaru started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If George Antonescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manuel Negruț recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling George Antonescu in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valentin Gugea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Marosest fans' excitement grew in the 9th match minute when Marosest's George Antonescu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, FC Rapid's Ion Stafie got a free kick in the 14th minute. George Antonescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Valentin Gugea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valentin Gugea came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Marosest's George Antonescu. But to his dismay, George Antonescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After some careless play in the FC Rapid defense, George Antonescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valentin Gugea. The FC Rapid fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valentin Gugea should have stopped the shot.

The wind increased when Manuel Negruț made the kick off in the second half. 58 minutes into the game, Romeo Voica was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Marosest's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Rapid the free kick. The supporters of FC Rapid booed when Marosest was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anton Fărcașu didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manuel Negruț got free with Valentin Gugea in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Romeo Voica got his second yellow card in the match during the 74th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 75th minute, Romeo Voica hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Marosest's zone, Emil Stejaru stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristi Oblemenco came out of the goal and Emil Stejaru tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dumitru Bâlea during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 77 played minutes Marosest got a freekick which was hit by Dumitru Bâlea. FC Rapid's defense didn't have a chance, in the 81st minute, when Manuel Negruț scored to the left of an out of position Valentin Gugea, making the score, 0-7. Marosest's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
