In the 2nd match minute, Hust SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marian Iorda to maneuver through the defense. After 4 minutes, Manuel Negruț mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Marosest and the Hust SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Paul Slătineanu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. George Antonescu might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Paul Slătineanu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. George Antonescu ran back to his position shaking his head. 36 minutes into the game, Leonard Chifu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Marosest's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hust SC the free kick. A collision led to Marosest getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Leonard Chifu hit a great ball. 41 minutes into the match, Hust SC's goal looked a bit too open when George Antonescu came free, but Paul Slătineanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 42 played minutes Hust SC got a freekick which was hit by Valeriu Minda. Hust SC's Paul Slătineanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by George Antonescu in the 44th minute of play. In the 46th minute, Marosest's George Antonescu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The supporters of Marosest booed when Hust SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emilian Fărcașu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 54 minutes into the match, Hust SC's goal looked a bit too open when George Antonescu came free, but Paul Slătineanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paul Slătineanu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Manuel Negruț's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Marosest fans cheered their team off the field, for while Hust SC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
