Maxim Lipan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Codruț Rădescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Augustin Cocea's late challenge caught a STEAUA SIGHET's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Augustin Cocea helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Santioana getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Augustin Cocea hit a great ball. Iacob Anton hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Codruț Rădescu in the 17th minute of play forced Santioana's goalkeeper Maxim Lipan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Niculae Jupân had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21st minute Maxim Negură shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dinu Poplăcean saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th minute, STEAUA SIGHET's Codruț Rădescu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Maxim Lipan. Maxim Lipan yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. 32 minutes into the match, STEAUA SIGHET's goal looked a bit too open when Maxim Negură came free, but Dinu Poplăcean reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Codruț Rădescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dinu Poplăcean showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maxim Negură in the 39th minute of the match. 46 minutes into the match, Santioana's goal looked a bit too open when Codruț Rădescu came free, but Maxim Lipan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maxim Negură could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Dinu Poplăcean made a huge save. After 56 minutes of play, Santioana's Niculae Jupân made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dinu Poplăcean was left in no man's land by his defense there! Codruț Rădescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maxim Lipan having to interfere. 75 minutes into the match, STEAUA SIGHET's goalkeeper Dinu Poplăcean had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Niculae Jupân. After a defensive mix-up in STEAUA SIGHET's zone, Niculae Jupân stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dinu Poplăcean came out of the goal and Niculae Jupân tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Codruț Rădescu came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the STEAUA SIGHET fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Codruț Rădescu couldn't finish the play. If Vali Angheloiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 83rd minute, Codruț Rădescu had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Horea Lupea charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Horea Lupea the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 82nd minute of the game. One of Santioana:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of STEAUA SIGHET:s goal. Maxim Lipan had in the 85thth minute some difficulties stopping Romeo Axinte's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After 87 minutes of play, STEAUA SIGHET's Vali Angheloiu made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Maxim Lipan was left in no man's land by his defense there! 91 minutes into the match, Santioana's goal looked a bit too open when Vali Angheloiu came free, but Maxim Lipan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. STEAUA SIGHET's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
