Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Anton Latarețu started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. With a little luck, AC Sebes Eagles's Andrei Vâlcu got control of the ball when Vali Angheloiu tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anton Latarețu in the 6th minute of play forced STEAUA SIGHET's goalkeeper Dinu Poplăcean to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Remus Colin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of AC Sebes Eagles booed when STEAUA SIGHET was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolae Geoană didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dinu Poplăcean came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by AC Sebes Eagles's Anton Latarețu. But to his dismay, Anton Latarețu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nicolae Geoană during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nicolae Geoană hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 27th minute, Vali Angheloiu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vali Angheloiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Andrei Vâlcu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. AC Sebes Eagles's Andrei Vâlcu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Codruț Rădescu in the 34th minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, Vali Angheloiu notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of AC Sebes Eagles's Andrei Vâlcu. Andrei Vâlcu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Vali Angheloiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Andrei Vâlcu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Codruț Rădescu made the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute, Anton Latarețu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Codruț Chiriacescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 63 minutes, Vali Angheloiu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. STEAUA SIGHET's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vali Angheloiu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 66th minute, Petre Ionescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 67th minute, Romeo Axinte got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as AC Sebes Eagles's Anton Latarețu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dinu Poplăcean. That made the score 1-2 after 73 minutes of play. When Iacob Anton fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored STEAUA SIGHET's protests and gave Iacob Anton a yellow card for diving instead. In the 77th minute, Iacob Anton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anton Latarețu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dinu Poplăcean having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in STEAUA SIGHET's zone, Anton Latarețu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dinu Poplăcean came out of the goal and Anton Latarețu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dinu Poplăcean made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Remus Colin sent off a good shot on target. Andrei Vâlcu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Codruț Rădescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 90th minute, Codruț Rădescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Andrei Vâlcu was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Nicolae Geoană blasted a shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Andrei Vâlcu having to make a save. In the 99th minute, Doru Merișor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
