The goal made the score 1-0. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chelsea din Banat's goalkeeper Narcis Zdrăilă, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Chelsea din Banat's Narcis Zdrăilă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mihail Şandru in the 10th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mihail Şandru in the 11th minute of play forced Chelsea din Banat's goalkeeper Narcis Zdrăilă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Horia Bourceanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Narcis Zdrăilă having to interfere. In the 16th minute, Cristian Ispas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 17 played minutes Dorel Gurzău shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Chelsea din Banat's Narcis Zdrăilă to catch but Dorel Gurzău was lucky. It became 2-0 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. In the 20th match minute, Chelsea din Banat was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anton Elenescu to maneuver through the defense. In the 21st minute, Mihail Şandru got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Horia Bourceanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Mihail Şandru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an all-out effort, Fenispatoc's Narcis Zdrăilă threw himself towards the right post 29 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Mihail Şandru, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Horia Bourceanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Narcis Zdrăilă took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mihail Şandru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mihail Şandru scored 3-0 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Narcis Zdrăilă, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 34 minutes into the match, Fenispatoc's Horia Bourceanu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Narcis Zdrăilă narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 36th minute of the match Gigel Bolcaș shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Narcis Zdrăilă showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Narcis Zdrăilă made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Horia Bourceanu sent off a good shot on target. Manole Băbescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cătălin Dragotescu in the 46th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cătălin Dragotescu to strike the kick off in the second half. Cătălin Dragotescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manole Băbescu having to interfere. Mihail Şandru blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Narcis Zdrăilă having to make a save. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chelsea din Banat's goalkeeper Narcis Zdrăilă, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gheorghe Tufescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pompiliu Burdea's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manole Băbescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. After 67 played minutes Chelsea din Banat got a freekick which was hit by Aurel Zorlescu. 68 minutes into the match, Fenispatoc's Dorel Gurzău broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After having played for 71 minutes, Horia Bourceanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fenispatoc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Horia Bourceanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Codruț Jitaru during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 72nd minute, Codruț Jitaru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Narcis Mironescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mihail Şandru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Narcis Zdrăilă having to interfere. In the 85thth minute of the game Mihail Şandru who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chelsea din Banat's Narcis Zdrăilă was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Vasile Stroe fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chelsea din Banat's protests and gave Vasile Stroe a yellow card for diving instead.
